Lame, I know. As a character in Infamous says, "Any excuse, no matter how valid, weakens character." But...they're valid, so I will share them anyway. I spent the time I should've been writing as an architect. I'm not legit or anything, but I took a stab at it. The result? A comprehensively mapped out a structure that is germane to the story and the characters. I feel a sense of accomplishment.

War of the Covers!

Like I said, I'm OCD. Its been less than twenty minutes and I already have a different cover made up! I love Picnik.

I decided to try something different with this one, because I was still having trouble finding a computer-generated graphic that worked, so instead I decided to go with a photographic look. The photo was busy, but I pixelated the edges to create more of a softer feel and so that it would be easier to see the text...tell me what you think!

So, back in December I made up three snazzy book covers, one for each of the books planned in the trilogy. I thought now was as good a time as any to debut the second in my collection.

Just a warning: I don't like this one very much. My biggest problem was that I couldn't find a good black and white picture to use that seemed to click with the story as well as with the first and the third one. It's really visually busy. And its center aligned. Weak, I know.

Because of my dislike of it, you may very well be seeing a different version very soon. Because I'm OCD like that.

Here We Go Again

Hey! First off—I apologize for the lack of communication. Guess I better bring you up to speed...

Finals are OVER. I'm DONE with school. NOW I get a chance to write.

Just the other day I sent off another batch of queries, so I will keep you posted on how that goes. With Invincible done and out of the way (there are always more revisions of course, but it's time to move on), I've been working on Infamous!

Infamous takes off where Invincible left off from the viewpoint of Ben, the older brother of the first book's protagonist, Makayla. It's been really refreshing to get into a different character and look at the plot through someone else's eyes. And writing as someone who can turn inivisible is a plus, too!
