At 11:50 PM Mountain Standard time I did it—I wrote my fifty thousandth word.
But, by no means is it time to break out the champagne and celebrate. Even though I achieved my goal of writing enough words to fill your average young adult novel, meeting this goal was not enough because apparently this story is more than average. It looks like I've still got another good ten thousand words or so to go before I can officially say "The End."
By no means does this mean my fifty thousand word goal isn't a big deal—I've accomplished something that takes some writers years to do in the span of a month! And, as a plus, I feel I've got some good quality writing on my hands. I'm just saying that I don't think I can fully appreciate this all until I'm actually finished...I'll keep you posted!

1)I'm not sure. I know I'm gonna have a few people read it after revisions to get input before I submit it to an agent. Wanna be on the list? :)
2)I'm not experienced as far as blogging goes, so I just used one in the basic blogger template options and it's called "Scribe." I like it because it kind of reminds me of a cafe and, well, the title of my blog is basically coffee, so it all works out!
By the way, nice blog! I am now officially a follower ;)
